Meet Tiffany
Hello friends,
I am Tiffany a Postpartum Doula.
I was raised in Prince George, along with my husband and 3 lovely children we continue to call it home.
I first got interested in birth work when I was pregnant with my first child in 2011. At that time I had very limited knowledge but was eager to learn about a gentler approach to pregnancy, birth and postpartum recovery.
My journey has brought me here as a certifying Postpartum Doula with Doula School Canada.
The arrival of a new baby is a sacred time, within the postpartum period there is special window of time that encourages bonding, nurturing, learning and recovery. Each time a baby is born, so is a mother. As we welcome a new baby we are also welcoming a new mother. I believe that when we support, empower and uplift mothers after birth that we will strengthen the relationship of our families, our communities and future generations. Postpartum care is not new it has only been forgotten for many of us. The love we show to ourselves teaches our children how to love and be loved. ❤️
My support is uniquely based on the needs of the family and I am so excited to be able to help support families and babies in our community!
Outside of doula work I love spending time with my family and friends, going to yoga, cross country skiing, hiking, camping and being outdoors.
A note about inclusivity:
It is important to acknowledge that the experience of being a mother, is not defined by a person’s biology. This use of the word mother throughout this site is inclusive of all mothers regardless of their gender, race, or if the mother is the birthing person, adoptive persons, surrogate persons or primary caregiver. My scope of support is inclusive to all mothers of shapes, sizes, colors, abilities and identities and we will meet you where you are at just as you are!
